We’re in Leeds!
Trips, our on-demand, destination cycle parking scheme launched in Leeds this Summer. Loiners, you and your bikes are welcome.
Thanks to funding secured through the City Regional Sustainable Transport Settlement, we partnered with Leeds City Council and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority to install nine standard Bikehangars and one Cargo Bikehangar across the city centre. That’s a whole bunch of secure, weatherproof cycle parking.

What is Trips?
We developed Trips to give you the confidence to cycle to destinations such as city centres, leisure facilities and transport hubs, without worrying about your bike not being there when you get back.
Each Bikehangar accommodates up to six bikes, and the Cargo Bikehangar can store up to two cargo bikes or adapted cycles. Both models are so secure that they’ve been awarded the highest security accreditation available in the UK, ‘Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond’. This means they’ve withstood attacks from specialist, dedicated tools and, according to Sold Secure, are deemed
“the top level of resistance against the most determined thief”.
To access the Hooplr network, you need to download the Hooplr smartphone app which is available for Apple and Android phones. From there, you can search for locations, make bookings, lock and unlock Bikehangars, add credit to your account, and more.
Trips is a pay-as-you-go service. Our Leeds units start at just 50p for up to two hours of parking – perfect for running errands or nipping out for a coffee.

How Leeds will benefit

We’ve already seen healthy uptake of Trips in Leeds along with numerous repeat customers. Which goes to show, if you build it, they will come.

*Relates to “hard infrastructure” cycle tracks (e.g. shared use paths, raised or protected cycle lanes, other off-road provisions such as bridleways) and excludes “soft infrastructure” (advisory cycle lanes, bus lanes that cyclists can use, etc).
